Forking the projects
In general, to fork a GitHub project, follow these steps:
- Log in to your GitHub account and navigate to the repository you want to fork.
- Click on the "Fork" button in the top-right corner of the repository page. This will create a copy of the original repository in your own account.
- Wait for the forking process to complete. This may take a few seconds to several minutes, depending on the size of the repository.
- Once the forking process is complete, you will be redirected to your own copy of the repository. You can now clone this repository to your local machine, make changes, and push them back to your own repository.
- If you want to contribute your changes to the original repository, you can create a pull request by navigating to the original repository and clicking on the "New pull request" button.
That's it! You have now successfully forked a GitHub project and can start working on your own copy of the repository. Keep in mind that when you fork a repository, you create a separate copy of the project that you can modify and make changes to without affecting the original repository.
